This blog is a plática, a conversation, in both Spanish and English about being a Boricua, a Puerto Rican, en la luna, or on the moon (or on its metaphorical facsimile: the United States). The phrase is the title of a poem by Juan Antonio Corretjer, which was made into a song by Roy Brown and updated by Puerto Rican Spanish-rock group Fiel a la Vega.

Invernales
If you look closely, like my husband does with his good camera, winter does put on quite the show in these parts.
Geni, however, doesn't appreciate it much.

looks like geni's getting comfy with her booties :)
izma: Not really. She manages to shake one or two off at several points during the walk so they're more of a hassle than a help. Still, I'll walk her with them on when there's a lot of ice and snow on the roads since I know it's better for her paws. :)
Do you still think they're too small? They look like they might be small, in the pictures, but it's hard to tell for sure. I think that's the same crabapple tree I took a picture of last week! :)
Dr. S: Yeah, we thought about that, but when we looked at the website where we got them from, the spot where they fit on the dog's paw in the web picture and the spot where they fit Geni seem the same. It's more like they come off because they don't affix very securely with the velcro... :(
I have some velcro twist-tie-like things that you could use as extra bands to hold them on her ankles. I think that I can rustle up four of them. Just remind me!
